 Production Facilities 

 

CTN provides video production facilities including studios, field production equipment, and editing suites available free of charge to Ann Arbor residents and Ann Arbor non-profit organizations for the production of programming for telecast on the Public Access channel (17)To utilize these facilities, you must first complete the production class for the facilities you wish to use.  After becoming certified, you may then produce your own programs or assist others in their productions.

Studios
CTN currently has two studios available for public use.  

The Main Studio is 36'x44' with grey, blue and black curtains, a 35" in-studio monitor, three 3-chip cameras, up to 20 microphones, audio cassette, cd player, two roll-in VHS/S-VHS vcr's, Inscriber CGLive character generator, two-line phone for call-ins.

The Hotline Studio is a single operator production system with two remote operated camera, three microphones, cd player, a visual presenter, computer, roll-in VHS/S-VHS vcr, conference telephone for call-ins, and a VHS/S-VHS record vcr.

Field Production (Camcorders)
CTN has a wide variety of field production equipment available for public use including mini-DV camcorders, digital HD camcorders, tripods, video monitors, microphones, audio mixers, lights, and a variety of cables and connectors.

 Training & Facility Coordinator Mike Koski teaches the Remote Camera class.

Editing
CTN has four (4) digital editing suites available for public use. The editing suites include both iMovie 09 editing software, as well as the more advanced Final Cut Pro X software.  iMovie 09 is designed for individuals who have never edited or who have utilized primarily single timeline editing software.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Video On Demand
CTN offers a video distribution room for clients allowing them to send their videos over the World Wide Web. Use this room to make copies of your programs and stream online!
