Interested in Learning How to Produce Your Own TV Show?

CTN teaches you how to operate our television production equipment For free. Reserve space in CTN's two hour Preview Monday, January 23 from 6-8 PM.
Must be a resident of the City of Ann Arbor, or a representative of a non-profit organization based within the City of Ann Arbor.
Classes include: Studio, Hotline Studio, Remote Camcorders, and iMovie & Final Cut Editing. After successfully taking our classes, you are eligible to use the equipment to make your own television program or help crew on on someone else's. Call 734.794.6150

CTN STAFF & COMMUNITY PRODUCERS WIN NATIONAL AND REGIONAL AWARDS

PHILO T. FARNSWORTH FESTIVAL OF MEDIA ARTS 2011
CTN and our community producers have received 42 awards in the 2011 Philo T. Farnsworth Festival of Media Arts! These include 15 First Place Philos and 12 Finalists (Second Place.) In addition, we are also nominated for 15 Excellence Awards. The Excellence Award winners will be announced at the awards ceremony. NATOA NATIONAL GOVERNMENT PROGRAMMING AWARDS 2011

CTN is a finalist in two different categories of the National Association of Telecommunications Officers & Advisors (NATOA) Government Programming Awards for 2011.
Congratulations to CTN's Public/Education staff & Community Producers for placing Second Place in the Excellence in Public Access Programming category with CTN: A Year in Public Access. This 14 minute compilation features programs produced and presented by Ann Arbor residents and was edited by staffers Zachary Demers and Alysha Schlundt-Bodien. Watch it here.
We also salute CTN's Tim Nagae, who is a Producer with CTN's City Productions. His production, Think Bike Safety First!, placed first in the Public Safety category. Watch it here. HOMETOWN NATIONAL VIDEO AWARDS 2011:

Congratulations to CTN Producer Tim Nagae, winner of two 2011 Hometown Video Awards! Sponsored by the Alliance for Community Media, there were 1,100 entries from community television centers around the U.S. and Canada in this year's national competition. Tim received first place in the following categories:
Information Talk Show - Professional: EcoSense: Bike & Walk in Ann Arbor (Production assistance from the City of Ann Arbor's Eli Cooper)
Seniors - Professional: Senior Moments: Pittsfield Township Senior Center (Assistance from Pittsfield Seniors' Mary Sougstad)
